Limit the cards and dimensions that members see.

Klaro allows you to easily show/hide data by creating Workspaces. Workspaces are collections of boards you give members access to.

  1. Create a workspace
  2. Add members
  3. Create boards
  4. Share existing boards

Create a workspace

  1. Go to Settings and Members > Workspaces and create a workspace.

  2. In the workspace configuration, use the Cards shown panel to set filters at the workspace level.

These filters will apply to all boards of the workspace, with no possibility for users to override them from the board itself. This provides a centralized level of data security for shared requirements for workspace users.

WARNING : take care of using the Visibility mode that you want. The default one Shows all cards EXCEPT ... (if you say nothing, everything is shown). You might want to switch that to Hide all cards EXCEPT ... instead.

  3. Use the Dimensions panel to show/hide dimensions in the workspace.

Same principle: the setting will apply in all boards.

And similar WARNING : two modes exists, "Hide all dimensions except" and "Show all dimensions except ...".

Add members

  1. Go to Settings and Members > Members

  2. Find your user and use the Edit workspace to grant a workspace access

Create boards

  1. The workspace should appear in your workspace list in the main left panel. If not, make sure you have access to it, refresh Klaro Cards if needed.

  2. You can create a fresh new board in the workspace by clicking the Create new board... or Save board here... links that appear (according to the state of you current view)

Share existing boards

An alternative to creating new board exists. It allows you to share an existing board in other workspaces than the one it has been created in initially.

  1. Open your board and go to Board tools > Collaboration > Who can see this board? in the menu.

Workspace - Who can see this board.png

  1. In the dialog that opens, you can choose which board appears in what workspace and what member can do (read cards, create/update them, or manage everything).
